Memphis Photographer Michael Norman is MCC Guest Speaker
MEMPHIS PHOTOGRAPHER MICHAEL NORMAN comes to the Memphis Camera Club (MCC) June 21, 2018. A prolific photographer and portrait specialist, Norman will discuss the use of wireless off-camera flash on location.
"You can make images with dramatic lighting" even when available light is poor or non-existent, he said. "The use of wireless off-camera flash is the answer." Beginners and novice photographers may believe off-camera lighting is a daunting proposition, "but it's easier than you may think."
As a location shooter, Norman travels to his subjects wherever they are – at schools, factories, business offices and outdoors. Relying on Speedlights and strobes, he uses a minimal amount of equipment. However, the right lighting gear placed correctly helps him create exciting, dramatic photos reflective of far more complex lighting setups.
Norman's diverse portfolio includes portraits, senior photos and wedding photography. He also offers workshops and individual instruction for other photographers.
