MCC Members,
It's time to start planning for the Memphis Camera Club's annual year end photo competition. Here is some information about the competition and awards dinner.
· Who may compete?
Any active member may compete. Active members are those that have paid their dues.
· What photographs may I enter?
Any photograph entered during the 2017 competition year (Dec.
2016 – Nov. 2017) may be entered in the annual competition.
Images entered in the last monthly competition of the year on Nov. 2 are eligible for the annual competition. Entrants must stick to their original formats. A photograph entered as a digital image in a monthly competition must be entered as a digital in the annual competition.
· How many images am I allowed to enter?
1 to 8 images total.
· How do I enter assigned category images in the annual competition?
There is no assigned category in the annual competition. Place assigned category images in another category most applicable to your image.
· The Straight from the Camera category was created in 2016. Will there be an identical category in the annual competition?
Yes.
· What is the deadline for entries?
Nov. 16.
How do I enter?
All images (digital and prints) must be entered using MCC’s visual pursuit website competition. (Click on the “register now" button above)
Two competitions have been created with a dates 12/07/17, and titled 2017 Digital Year End, or 2017 Print Year End. It is recommended that you enter images using “Add Images from my Image Library”. Instructions:
• Log in to mcc.visualpursuits.com
• Under COMPETITION pick “Select Images to a Competition”
• Select either 2017 Digital Year End, or 2017 Print Year End
• Select “Add Images from my Image Library”, a search window comes up, be sure to

o UNCHECK the box “Include images never entered into competition”
o VERY IMPORTANT::Set Competition Type to either
“Monthly Digital Competition”, OR “Monthly Print
Competition” depending on what type you are entering.
o Select “Search for Images” Thumbnails found from the search will be shown at bottom of pages. Hint: at bottom of page set page size to 50 to see all images.

• Check mark the images you want to submit.
• Select “Finished Marking Desired Images”
• IMPORTANT: The default category will be “Animal” so if different you MUST set to desired category. A PDF file “2017 Entry List” is available that shows all of your entries and what category was used.
• That’s it you have entered images, All Done

Prints are to be delivered at the Thursday meetings on 11/2, or 11/16.
What are arrangements for the awards ceremony?
The ceremony is at 7:00 p.m., Jan. 11th, in the hospital’s auditorium.
